Excluded by default. Skiing costs a lot of money. There is less generational wealth being passed down in the black community. This is not hard to acknowledge for anyone with a smidgen of integrity.

Sure, they can pull themselves out of that by their boot straps, but by then it's too late to become an elite skier. They would have to take their kid. But it's a tough activity to teach your kid if you yourself didn't learn to ski until your mid 30s or early 40s

My wife is black and comes from an above average wealth family. She hasn’t shown a previous interest in skiing because she hates the cold.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: we need more government-sponsored midnight skiing programs! This injustice cannot stand, people!

There's a shite ton of white people who can't afford to go skiing.

But I'm sure the black people will find a way to pay for it. Just like airline tickets, cruises, Disney and Mexico trips, etc.

Bruh I went in Mama’s Fried Chicken in Opelousas this recent Mardi Gras night after Fat Tuesday parades. I had just finished hunting. I was in full camo, but had a hankering for a shrimp poboy. I was the only white dude within two blocks of that restaurant.

At NO point did I think “damn, I’m scared, it’s a bunch of black people all around me and I’m the only white dude”.

What gives? Why are blacks so scared of white gatherings?

The trip had been organised by Soft Life Ski, a British collective which aims to bring "Afro-Caribbean culture and vibes to the slopes".

When I think of skiing, Afro-Caribbean is automatically the first thing I think of. Those islanders really love shooshing down the moguls, mon.

Black History Lesson: Black people invented skiing. White people stole their skis and claimed skiing as a white sport. Then, they wouldn't allow Black people to ski on the mountains they stole from Black people.

It’s weird that you can say and encourage this:

quote:

Black-run organisations

But I would imagine a self-identified White-run organization would cause quite a stir.

Bonus points for the ski pun.

When the diversity "problem" gets solved, that's when the real problems begin.

When I ski, I intentionally avoid the blacks. Too dangerous.

Oh, goodness, please, no.

Wait is there a problem? If non whites can figure out how to put expensive shoes and phones etc on credit cards then they can do the same with some used ski equipment and shop for affordable lift tickets. Just like I did when I was poor. And white.

Okay, so skiing isn’t the most diverse scene in the world. But who’s complaining?

This is a problem with no victims. No one cares, other than this one group that assembled to justify its existence.

White people don’t care. Black people don’t care. Why is this a thing?

Why? Time will fix everything. Why is everyone in such a damn hurry to correct things today?
