They're so blatant. They're like an "injured" party in a frivolous lawsuit running up fraudulent medical bills in the hopes that a settlement or jury will award them damages in excess of what they waste. They're purposefully losing money and destroying livelihoods on purpose in the hopes that the federal government will net them a bigger bailout. I hope the feds stiff them completely to ensure this kind of behavior never happens again.

Well they haven’t been playing football since 2005 in California anyways

If they wanted to shut their government buildings down that weren't a necessity for people who really needed them (which would probably mean at least 90% of their buildings shut down) , then fine. But now, it's become a political posturing game they has serious consequences for regular people. And, seeing as how the left is still saying covid will bring doomsday, none of them want to open it up.
It’s become a game of who can out virtue-signal the next person
It gives them more power, more control of citizens and makes citizens more reliant on government for an income. Once people become reliant on government, they'll vote for that party as long as they continue to promise them "free money", because no one will want to work if they get paid to sit on their butts.
Also, every single death from a state that's open will be used by the dems to say "told ya so" and that the person put money above lives.

Could you imagine if Utah and Colorado basically joined the Big 12 just for this season?

College football is happening with or without the PAC-10.

Why are we quarantining young people?
How many elderly people work on a college campus?

Someone wrote this response regarding Stanford
“Stanford also just sent out an email saying it’s very unlikely that things will return to normal for fall quarter. Proposed alternatives include having one or two class years live on campus each quarter (to maintain social distancing) or staying entirely remote!”

From what I heard LSU did too. Advised faculty to start planning for teaching remotely in the fall as well. Just as a heads up to have them prepared.

Imagine paying tuition at Stanford and only getting online classes in return.
