SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — If you have any gas-powered gardening tools, you may be forced to give them up soon.
California is considering a statewide ban on the equipment.
At least 60 cities in California have some kind of ban on gas-powered garden tools, but now state regulators are concerned about the impacts these tools could be having on the environment.
According to the California Air Resources Board, running a gas-powered lawnmower for an hour will produce the same amount of air pollution as a Toyota Camry driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

Fine the taxpayers and their freedoms.
Let the homeless lawlessly run rampant in the street.
California baby!

Gonna suck when they have to cut a fire line with electric chain saws and the batteries die halfway through.

Can you imagine being a logger, farmer, or rancher up in the mountains around Redding, and having some douchebag politician tell you that you can't mow your own grass? One of these days, this is gonna be too much for someone, and they're gonna have a Falling Down moment.

CARB has set automotive innovation in the US back 20 years at least.

The Mexicans are gonna love this

But people keep telling me California is so awesome that the politics is not all that bad and doesn't affect you very much.
There's a good reason why the middle class is fleeing that state in droves.

News from California reads like satire at this point

I usually make some comment about the pendulum and that it is going to come back. Yet California just keeps swinging towards Crazyville with no sign of coming back to normal.

Well, we also have an individual insurance mandate, but our dipshit governor set aside $1B of taxpayer money for healthcare for illegals and now wants $1B more for "the homeless situation"
So, this whole gas powered garden tool thing surprises me not.

Did I read something about being fined for your yard being too green during drought conditions?

We have water restrictions during bad droughts. Luckily it’s been a couple of years since we’ve been in a severe drought.
