A black bear wouldn't feel a punch to the face. Even a smaller bear species such as them are tough as shite. No one is brave or stupid enough to try it.
This retired school teacher in Alaska made a habit out of it

That shite is funny.
The most famous movie star out of Alaska is Brodie the bear.

I caught the gif on here a few years back, then found the mini series on him. Dude was boss af. Didn't see him hit any full grown bears, but he kept the younger ones in check. Dude was next level fearless.
Edit: found it... stranger among bears

I wouldn't allow children near any pitbull. So yes-every single one of them is dangerous as far as I'm concerned.
You can feel free to bring your children around them. Good luck.

I didn’t know there were any baws left in Califrickingfornia.

I went to a place called Turpentine creek that was a haven for rescued animals from across the nation.
It had everything from big cats to brown bears.
The first thing I saw was a 850 pound brown bear that was chewing on a log in a swimming pool. It was more intimidating than the rest. It was quite the experience.

I'm not scared of a dog. But more fearful of batshit crazy people that walk this earth.

So are you saying that all pit bulls are dangerous? Every single one of them?
My opinion of pit bulls is a little more tempered than the standard OT reply. I have been around 3 "very sweet" ones in my life. Two have actually stayed in my home while the "parents" were on vacation. All three had what I considered to be good pet owners the owners of the two that stayed with us were rescues and the wife was a vet tech. 2 of those three have over the years needed to be re-homed due to aggression issues.
I see them like this, most of them have lineage that can be traced to some form of fight training separating out the whole "what is a pit bull" discussion. Aggression in simply built into their DNA. One of our dogs is a Basset and she doesn't bark or pay significant attention to most any creature including other dogs unless they are actually playing. That said if she sees a rabbit she goes nuts, not an armadillo, possum, raccoon, or squirrel just rabbits. She has never been hunting or even around real hunting dogs but she knows rabbits are her job.
I see pit bulls like a loaded gun with a canine-sized brain it may never go off but the chances of it are higher than most any breed that can do serious damage despite having good owners. It is just a risk that I would not take.
I am not in favor of systematically killing off the breed because if we do the trashy people that want pits for the testosterone boost will just move on to dogs like the Cane Corso and Dogo Argentino. If that same group of people start selectively breeding those dogs for size and aggression they will make the pit bull family look like .380s compared to 10mm.

I hope your dog gets mauled by a pack of chihuahuas.

I have pits and they show no aggression towards anyone that is welcomed in my house. The only times they showed aggression is when two female pits are always jealous of each other and they fought a couple of times. So They are separated at all times. The females cause the most trouble. The males are a lot more mellow.
I have other dogs such as my boxer named spanky. I got call from a friend and he said that a boxer was tied to a tree and the owners were evicted. A deputy sheriff said that he would arrive and shoot the dog. I told him that isn't going to happen and I would keep him.
He is the one of the best dogs I ever had and made an impact on my life. It will be a painful day when he is gone.
The other is the largest at over 100 pounds and is the most timid of the bunch but is the pack leader. He is a rhodesian ridgeback or we think. Despite the pit bulls having a reputation as being aggressive, Kaiser the pack leader bullies them around. Now buster belly and the other pit named Courtney will take treats from spanky by barking in the air loudly. Spanky just looks the other way and they take them from him.
Now the pits wouldn't try to intimidate kaiser but when they did, he simply growls and they walk the other way. No one would think he is the pack leader but he is and he puts the other dogs in check.
I see all dog breeds as animals that we should treat with respect and dignity. These dogs have taught me more than I can know and gave me a different perspective on life.

I was definitely pulling for the bear on that one. The pit probably started it.

We are gonna have a pit bull thread and a “could a human fight off such and such animal” thread all in one.
I’m not sure I believe his story tbh. I bet he ran at the bear and it dropped the dog and ran. I do not believe he jumped on a bear and punched it repeatedly without the bear tearing his arse up

As a dog owner, I feel it is probably safer to have the black bear hanging out with my dogs than the pitbull.

No. Every person who lives in south Chicago isn’t a murderer either but I bet you won’t walk down the street there at night
