For the attorneys here, is this a common thing:
An attorney “representing Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome” has put officials with the city of St. George on notice that a lawsuit is coming soon and they need to preserve any documents that could be relevant to the case.
Where opposing counsel would call and "put you on notice".
Couldn't you tell them to piss up a rope?

So is this just how elections work now? Cry, start investigations, sue, riot etc. if your side lost?

This is a great message to send. If you follow the law to incorporate an unincorporated portion of the parish, that parish will use your tax money to sue you for following the law.
