Buying gifts for your spouse that you really plan to use more for yourself.

I just ordered a really nice electric foot massager off of Amazon and will give it to my wife for Christmas. I'll also give her a few other small things.
She will probably enjoy it and use it some, but I was one click away from just ordering it for myself as a regular purchase because I feel I'll end up using it a lot more.
Does this make me a bad person? I have trouble picking out gifts for my wife and I've done this before with kitchen gadgets, electronics, etc. Does anyone else do this?

My dad bought my mom a John Deere tractor for Valentine’s Day once.

. I gave up on buying gifts for my wife that she doesn’t specifically say she wants. She’s picky. Better to let her pick something out than assuming what she likes.
Besides, we both usually get what we want when we feel like it. Christmas isn’t that big of a deal gift-wise for us.

My wife is a master at buying me gifts of things that we were going to buy anyway. One year I got two beach chairs for my birthday..:they were replacements for an old set that had already said needed to be replaced.
