Because our MJ laws are completely idiotic.
Weed is schedule I, meaning the federal government thinks it has no accepted medical use and cannot be used, even under medical supervision. Waaay too dangerous.Examples: Heroin, LSD, ecstasy (MDMA), and peyote. Also weed. (Someone tell them that 40 states have have legalized medical marijuana, and grandmas use it on the reg.)
Schedule II drugs have a high potential for abuse, but have a currently accepted medical use in treatment. Examples are coke, meth, oxy, fentanyl, Adderall, and Ritalin. These are okay to use with medical supervision, but NOT that damned schedule I MJ.
