Copelands was good back in the day.
But the combination of time and better options has lessened the appeal bigly.
Agreed. It used to be a huge treat to eat there. Growing up it was the 'nice' place we'd go as a family.
Went with my wife awhile back, and I don't think they've changed anything in 20 years.

If you've ever been stupid drunk in Athens Georgia at 3am, you'd understand the appeal of five guys...

It's more a brand. But Shiner Bock when downhill after they expanded to sell outside Texas.

Sonic actually started in Woodward, OK. Not Tulsa. The next ones after Woodward were Enid and Stillwater.

Don't know what you're smoking but I drink the hell out of Shiner.
I love their Kozmo's Reserve, Black Lager, and Cold Brew Coffee Ale. Their Bock has been one of my favorites for years.

The canes I use to go to in Baton Rouge 10 years ago isn't even in the same league as the canes I went to last month
It's unreal the difference

When did you start drinking it? I'm not knocking it. I still drink it too. But it's not as good as it when it was just a Texas beer.
ETA- Zaxby's was much better than they are now when it was just a Georgia/Florida thing.

1. We have a Sonic in our hometown in northern Alabama. The food is prompt, delicious, and the staff are very friendly.
2. Ditto for our local Chick-fil-a.
Sounds to me like the problem isn't these chains expanding into new territories. Instead it sounds like the worker pool in your area sucks.

Ah Copeland's/
In 1983 there was one.
By 1990 there was nine
By 2000 there were 32
By 2010 there were 9.
I was on the training team when the New Mexico one opened as well as the one in Maryland. Though it would be a vacation. NOPE, 6-16s. Sucked so bad.

your opinion has to be in the minorty especially how fast that chain grew since the Church's fiasco caused new ownership.

Honestly it's not even good enough for drunk food.
