In-N-Out Burger.

Better on the West Coast than in Texas.

Yea I've eaten at Five Guys a few times and didn't really get the appeal either. Food wasn't bad, but it wasn't an "OMG I have to go back" type of place either.

Yeah, exactly. It's not that it's bad. It's just not that great.

Chipotle. Ate at the original restaurant in Denver across from the Denver University campus. It was awesome. Now that it's an international chain it is just not as good as the original. After eating there I said they should have a chain of these, pretty soon they did.

sonic was never a southern chain sonic was started in tulsa OK. I know because i had a roommate at one point from tulsa and he told me everyday

I get it started in Oklahoma but it was what I call a Southern chain for a while because it was prominently in SWC, ACC (sans Maryland), and SEC country. The only time I saw commercials for it was during Jefferson Pilot SEC football or basketball games. That was until probably 12 years ago when a Sonic opened near my in-laws in New Jersey.

How long ago was this? Sonic has been national for quite a while.

The popeyes here is still really, really good. But if you go out west or up north, it's bland and tasteless. Like KFC everywhere.

I'll have to take your word for it. Every zaxbys I've ever been to, the food has been near inedible.

My Popeyes here in WA is still pretty good. Much better than KFC anyway.

The problem with a lot of the places you're referring to is that they're franchised for expansion, so some are run great by ppl who gaf and many others who just go through the motions
