There was a really hot deaf girl in one of my college classes, a Public Speaking class of all classes too. 
Anyway, she had a student worker from the university go to all her classes and type the lecture and discussion into a computer for her to follow along. She usually just looked around the class, and I made eye contact with her a few times eliciting a smile. Anyway, I saw her out at a club later on that semester and we were grinding like crazy on the dance floor. She slipped me her number before she left with her friends. I thought it was a joke, since she was deaf, she was trying to get me to prank call some number. I tossed it, thinking how the hell would you call a deaf person on the phone.
A year goes by, I was at a buddy's house, and we found out his neighbor was dating this same girl. We called him over to have a beer. I told him the story about her giving me her number one day, but thought it was bullshite. He said "yeah man, it weird as shite. She uses this call service, so you call it and they contact her to open up a chat on her laptop. You talk to this complete stranger, they type it, she types back, and the stranger tells you her response over the phone. My girlfriend likes to talk dirty to me over the phone, but it's strange coming from an older black lady or a dude." I about fell out laughing, but then I've regretted missing out nailing a hot deaf chick the rest of my life after that. It would have been fun making her sound somewhere between a dolphin or a seal.

I got married right before the online apps and swiping took off. I thought you're supposed to ask questions over a couple dinners while you steadily extract this info ? The bonus is you get laid after dinner for showing interest and listening intently. It's a decent concept. They call it dating.
