I read the title and first thought of Buddy the elf (will Ferrell) and him discovering his biological father, Walter (James Caan) was and that his mother was raped. I was like wtf! How did I miss this in elf or is this title going with some fan theory I had never heard before... then I open the thread and see it’s a FB blah blah blah
Tell your “buddy” to accept the closer and stay away from the dirt bag.

Write it off, obviously.

I'll send him the link to my post, he can elaborate if he wants. But it's not for all the childish reasons, for him it's just wanting to hear the truth and maybe have a bit of history of who he is. "Family history" to tell his children.

Overrated.

My brother has a different dad than me. His dad was a deadbeat druggie. My dad raised him. His dad's side of the family has tried to reach out to him and my brother said no thanks. He doesn't really care. His dad is the guy who raised and supported him. Making a baby isn't anything special. Raising one is. End of story.

Then he’s asking for trouble. One thing if he thinks his biological father has continued to do what he did with his mother, another if he’s looking down that road for answers.

In a case that old, you could deny ever having consensual sex with her or even meeting her and it could maybe stick.

But the OP's buddy is clear evidence their genitals mashed together at least once.

Now, that brings us to the question is if it was rape or not.

It’s beyond the statute of limitations though. That’s the issue. I’d say he leaves this alone unless he has heard of some recent atrocity his biological father has done.

That is way too much detail to be a buddy's story.

Can't remember this quote but it both applies to Obi-Wan and Luke.

They both had a right to know what happened to Anakin, what he did and decide what to do with that knowledge.

And them both knowing saved the galaxy in the end.

Yoda was wrong.

This. How it would make his mother feel if she knew he was trying to form a relationship with this shitbird is reason enough.
