Agreed. The one in Leeds, AL isn’t far from me. It’s packed at all times. We went once based off the hype it gets here. It’s like a Cracker Barrel after church on Sunday that also sells gas with a touch of WalMart on Black Friday.

We lived in the hometown of Buc-ees for years and never went inside. Now when we travel back to Texas, we do stop in Alabama to tinkle.

Where else can you buy 100 gallons of fuel, a brisket sandwich, beaver nuggets, a 60oz fountain Dr Pepper, a $500 Yeti, jewelry, $1.00 bag of ice, and a surfboard in one place?? It’s a little slice of heaven.

It is a retail store that sells gas. The mega stores are set up with a huge variety of retail items from home furnishings, wall art, quality sunglasses, name brand clothes, etc.. It is nowhere close to being a wal-mart. The fresh food selections are better than most fast food restaurants and they have a huge selection of snacks. The bathrooms are country club quality minus cologne and mouthwash options at the sinks. Because of this well executed business model, people love to stop by and browse whether on the way home from work or as a destination stop while traveling.
