Perhaps in some of these podunk Louisiana towns. BRPd starts off at 34k a year which is an absolute joke. That’s why they have to fill their ranks with some questionable hires along with guys that actually should be there. This officer has weak hands though. Not Following through on his punches.
Also, you sound like a criminal that’s probably gotten his arse whipped by a cop.
Also, state police are actually well trained and only accept physically capable guys and will frick you up.

The young man could go to the Sheriff’s office and file a complaint of battery. At that point the sheriff has to investigate once a complaint is filed and BRPD could not cover it up. At that point with the video evidence the officer would probably be charged with a battery.

Cop should’ve waited for backup to arrive. Why attempt to detain the man when he is in a crowd full of other drunk people? They should fire him based on that lack of policy alone.
While the guy wasn’t compliant, he was probably too drunk and too much commotion to hear the officers’s orders. No excuse to be repeatedly punched in the face. Cop should’ve seen after the first 2 hits that it wasn’t going to work.
This guy is going to get a big time lawyer and they’re both about to get paid big time.
