Before the first punch, the officer tried bringing the guys hands behind his back and the dude pulled away.

Then the officer was attempting a takedown and the guy would not get on the ground.

Passive resisting is still resisting.

Watch it again, slowly.
Cop pushes him away then tries to tackle him.

Clearly trying to show he was a tough guy. No violence from the man at all. Just over the top violence from the cop.

Passive resisting is refusing orders and/or keeping body rigid as not to be handcuffed or taken down.

Cop looked like he was throwing haymakers from the top turnbuckle. Gorilla Monsoon was counting somewhere I am sure.

You must have an extended version of the video to make claims like that

I would imagine ole baw could have fought back after cop started punching him in the face. Lil man probably would have been running.

No sir, just pointing out what we can see from the video.
Cop tries to turn him around to cuff him, and in so doing he pushes the man who takes a step forward.

I read where the guy was charged with resisting and battery on an officer yet, was just given a summons.

Hmmmmm?????

The guy complied when the cop tried to cuff him, however the cop pushed him forward in the process of putting his hand behind his back and the guy went forward then the cop starts trying to tackle him. Then someone else has him in a choke hold holding him up.

This is a rogue cop that enjoys his power to hurt people.

I don't think any of those "punches" hurt the guy.

I'm generally anti-cop, but don't really see anything that egregious with this cop's actions.

One dude who’s already bloody and doesn’t appear to be resisting, punched repeatedly by the smallest cop I’ve ever seen and then tackled by Reggie’s bouncers. An attorney will have a field day with this

Get that kid a box to stand on

Maybe the cop should stand up first before throwing hands

Well, if nothing else, this thread certainly pointed out the Beta bootlickers on the OT.

Yup, it goes against nature to struggle when a few folks are trying to wrestle you to the ground
