As part of the gender reveal, Dickey shot a rifle at a target containing Tannerite, a highly explosive substance, which was meant to explode with colored powder upon impact. “It was a complete accident,” Dickey told a judge Friday, according to The New York Post. “I feel absolutely horrible about it. It was probably one of the worst days of my life.”

There are plenty of dishes in need of a wash.

Exactly. I guess he accidentally shot a target containing Tannerite in, what I assume, a dry environment.

I saw the gender reveal tannerite at the local Academy a few weeks ago. Immediately thought of the OT/trashy.

Other sources say he will only pay $220,000. LINK

quote:

In pleading guilty, Dickey agreed to five years of probation and more than $8.1 million in restitution with an initial payment of $100,000. Although he agreed to the $8.1 million restitution sum, it's unclear if Dickey will pay the total amount. Local reports suggested Dickey will pay $500 a month for the next 20 years, for a total fine of $220,000. It was also unclear what will happen after the 20-year period.

Good for him. He should be paying huge dollars for this. There is no doubt there was a fire ban, which in western states is highly publicized, and he chose to have a huge explosion. People lost their homes, businesses and property because he ignored the ban.

To be fair, I've shot a bunch of tannerite over the years and not once did it appear to me to be able to start a fire. Honestly I'm surprised it did . Maybe it was more than tannerite though.

Hell, I started a fire in a field full of mud puddles while shooting a steel gong. A piece of damp target cardboard on the ground was lit by hot splatter. You could not have set it on fire with a box of matches of you had wanted to, but it slowly started to smoke and burn.

Tammerite is like dropping napalm in comparison.

Play trashy redneck games, win trashy redneck prizes.

As a side note, when are gender reveal parties going to die?

Pregnant, "empowered" women happened to this country.
No doubt my daughter-in-law will have one of these once she gets pregnant.

And, especially as the father of the male unit in the matrimony, I get no say. Any comments about it being stupid, or about waiting until the child is born, like thousands of years of historic precedent, and I'm the bad guy.

Fork over money, pay for a party and shut-the-frick-up, you kill joy crank.

That's because you do not live in the southwest.
