Boulder Police spokesperson Dionne Waugh said the signs look professionally made and the transportation department had to find a special tool to remove the signs from the posts. She wasn't sure if the city's team would get to remove all of the signs Tuesday night.

Fladung said it's likely a lot of work went into installing these signs, so putting them up is probably just as tedious as taking them down. He hopes someone may be able to spot the suspect and call police.

A bit of an aside, but someone needs to design some sort of technology that causes cell phones to melt down and brick if you are on them while driving in a non-emergency situation. And no, “my baby texting me” is not an emergency situation.

I'm amazed on my daily commutes on both the interstate and the highway I take to work by the amount of people on their phones at high rates of speed in heavy traffic. Honestly, I'm surprised there are more accidents and deaths.

I normally take the commuter bus and sometimes will look down into the cars in the main lanes as we pass. At least 20% will be on the damn phone. It is pretty amazing there aren’t more accidents.

Hard to see the suspect when they are staring at their phones during their commute.

When my kids are driving, I sure hope there is a feature that shuts the phone off if it's moving over 20 mph.

Same here. I take i10 and i110 through baton rouge and it pisses me off how many folks are swerving with their cell phone in their face. Plus it seems like some people don't know how to use cruise control so you'll get over to let them pass then they slow up to get on their phone over and over again

Crossing the Ravenel Bridge yesterday around rush hour...4 lanes wide and 200 ft high at about 40 mph...and we passed three straight cars where the women in them were looking at their phones
