Never drank either. But I did work at a drive through in college in a bit of a sketchy area, the local walk in types preferred MD 2020 grape flavor. Always had to put it in a paper bag for them. 40 oz Old English was probably the second most popular. Didn't sell much Boones farm.

Hard to beat a flirty little Boon's Farm Strawberry Hill, with back of the tongue hints of formaldehyde, but I also like the complex taste profile of a chilled water glass of Mad Dog.
Always liked the way a good chug-a-lug of MD would make you want to howl at the moon.
Why no mention of wonderful memories of that special trip across Tuscany as you swirl a mouthful of Pink Chablis before taking another bite of beef jerky?
Also no mention of the Pecan shell mouth taste of Thunderbird?
Not even a recognition of the absolute pinochle of wine, Ripple?
Gees, some of you supposed wine conno-sewers really get to me!

Strawberry Hill was a legit choice for 15-year olds in New Orleans back in the day...

Only pussies drank all the above.

My years of drinking the above were before the “MF G” age.

My first drink was Strawberry Hill stolen from a friend's older brother when we were in middle school. Next was Thunderbird that we stole from the K&B. Next was MD 20/20 Banana Red and Sisco Red from Highland AG circa 1992. It was run by some Asians that did not give a frick. The Sisco was the worst.

Our friend group had a no cisco rule. That was the fourloko/synthetic weed of the day. People would lose their mind drinking it.

We would drink Mad Dog and I don't think that I ever consumed it without eventually throwing up. For whatever reason, we were always chugging it and that was usually on top of several+ beers. So, when it hit, it hit hard and the spins were soon to follow. Nasty, vile stuff. I had learned my lesson by the age of 18 and have never drank it since. Sounds like your son is on the same path to enlightenment and a rite of passage.

What's the action?
Satisfaction!

Why don20 year olds and homeless people have the same taste in alcohol?

Boones farm or mad dog 2020?
Boones farm tastes better but is much weaker 5-6% alcohol
mad dog 2020 tastes more syrupy and gets you drunk faster because its 16-19% alcohol
