My buddy and I would mix it and shake . He called it shake em up . Some real good and bad times . would get it at the store at the gates of Nicholson . He was a brother from Shreveport . Doesn't mix well with water volleyball . Thunderbird and grapefruit juice .

Never had Cisco as I am a bit too old for that

The other 6, sad to say, I returned to those wells more than a time or two

Back in the 60s, at La Tech, we'd get up a list of preferred cheap stuff and one person would hooch run down to Moon's, just over the parish line of Ouachita Parish.

The orders were big on Boone's Farm and Annie Green Springs.

We used to empty powerade bottles and fill them with Boones farm on the way to spring break.

Same bright colors and you would never know the difference looking at it. Drank many a bottles on the way to the panhandle.

Bingo.
Perspective is key.
In my teen drinking days (1989-91):
Boones Farm was 7%
MD 2020 was 13%
Thunderbird gold label was 13% and Red Label 20%
Cisco was 20%

If you had $3 to get booze you got the strongest shite you could put down without puking.

I drank all of those... Often.

A whole bottle of Strawberry Hill for me and Tickled Pink for the girlfriend. Once when we were riding in the back seat of a friend’s car, my girlfriend was sitting in the middle and leaned over me to projectile vomit out of a closed window. Fun times.

Do kids today still drink SoCo?

That was an SEC booze back in the day and why Hogs fit joining the SEC.

Southern comfort was his mommas drink.

I think that's why I have my oldest kid. It's all fun and games when you are 22
