I'm a Boomer, dumbass.

We had a blast in the Scouts. We went to camp. Swam, went canoeing, went hiking, shot bows and arrows, shot rifles, did the Mile Swim at 12 years old.

Then the following generations screwed it up for everyone. They would probably protest the Mile Swim these days. "It's not inclusive. My little transfag can't even tread water. Besides it will ruin 'her' makeup."

That's strange, because the "politically correct insanity", last I checked, wasn't the cause of tons of lawsuits and legal settlements.

I don't think the incorporation of all-girl scout troops into the overall organization that has always run all-boy scout troops is some kind of wacky leftist inclusion effort.

Rather, I think the Boy Scouts realized that the Girl Scouts organization was a chaotic mess, and basically tried to steal their little slice of scouting from them and run it better, without fundamentally changing Boy Scouts.

Not involved myself, but it's been disappointing to see the knee-jerk reactions. I'm no fan of leftist BS but this is not an example.

Im surprised the cost of attending the catholic church hasn't gone up.

Nobody picked on us. We were all healthy and fairly athletic.

We played Smear The Man With The Ball and Dodge Ball at our Scout meetings. There weren't any targeting penalties in those Smear games.

You hike a 9 mile trail up Mount Le Conte in the dead of winter then camp out in a foot of snow and -6 degree weather. Not many sissies in the group. Admission: That is the absolute coldest I have ever been. I had every article of clothing in my pack on my body that night.
