The Boomers did not perpetrate the molestation that's now coming to a head for the Boy Scouts. That stuff peaked in the 70s and 80s. The Boomers were scouts, or maybe young parents, not troop leaders or volunteers.
The leadership back then were from the "Silent" generation or the WWII generation- think "Mr. Wonder," who is about 5 years older than the first Baby Boomer.

Where you have access to boys you have queers: sports coaches, priests (Catholics), choir directors (Protestants; that's how Horatio Alger -- yes, he was a real person -- got access), troop leaders, and of course teachers ("Of course most schoolmasters are homosexual, how else could they tolerate their work?" -- Evelyn Waugh).
Dykes took over the girl scouts long ago, and figs will soon control the boys. Then Scouting will eliminate outdated gender roles and make the world safe for Drag Queen merit badges.

If you accept the definition of boomer as someone born between 1944 and 1964, the older boomers were in their 30s in the late 70s and early 80s. That's a pretty typical age for a scout leader. Now maybe the younger end of the boomers weren't involved, but the older end most certainly were.

I am sorry that I quit the Boy Scouts. I only earned two merit badges but I enjoyed camp Avondale and met some good people.
