It has to drive them crazy to know that nobody outside of their batshit crazy mental world cares about them. The cops couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge their existence as they yelled bullshite just a few feet away.

That, the lack of attention, is what the whole demonstration and cause of their upset really is.
It's really a childish cry for acknowledgement: Hey look at me! I exist! Pay attention to me!
The same thing one gets when they have a pet for several years and then bring home a new pet. The 2 fight for attention. Can't pet one as the other gets jealous and then upset eventually, and then a fight breaks out.
