These studies are so agenda driven. They take the current salaries of jobs people have right now, not if a man and a woman were both applying for the same job, what they already have accepted.

The. Pay. Gap. Is. Not. Real.
Asian women “make more” than white men using the same metrics. Asian men make the most.
Context is important.

the pay gap doesn’t exist. endless studies have proven that. regardless...
I work with a couple of heavy set black women from time to time. Salt of the earth. Incredibly sweet women. But almost useless. They only work about 30-40% of a work day. They spend more time chit chatting, walking back and forth to the bathroom or break room, planning their lunch outings, and having to leave work 2 hours early because of something to do with their kids. It’s always something (except Work)

Why don’t they compare Shaniqua’s salary to an Asian man?

Sigh...
I have a job that took me some years to get into. It’s pretty competitive and I finally landed it. So here I am all happy and satisfied with my accomplishment....
I had to do some training the other day for all employees who have been employed for this employer for less than a year. I walked into the room and a good 75%- 85% of all ‘New’ employees were black females fresh out of college.
This is an occupation that I know receives a ton of applications and these absolutely couldn’t have been the most qualified individuals who applied. It was abhorrently clear that they got the jobs based on other criteria than qualifications.

If employees regardless of gender or any other demographic factor, would stop missing work, show initiative or perform their assigned job greater than their peers etc they would get better reviews and therefore make more money. Further, discussing Facebook posts around the water cooler isn't a "desired job skill" Duh.

I also find it interesting how articles such as these are presented with no comment sections......
So wage gaps exist? Yes. The rub is that while they posture to show its not one size fits all and it’s in every field, they still fail to show the complexities in the disparities.

At mine they put them in roles where they cannot fail. Like they basically set the ball on the batting tee and say "hit it". Meanwhile, I feel like I'm facing down Roger Clemens.
As far as being a Subject Matter Expert etc all are White or Asian.

These studies are intellectually dishonest and I’m glad to see most people see right through them. This pay gap is a result of different career choices and other real-world factors that make some employees more valuable than others.
For an added bonus, throw in the fact that Asians tend to make more than white people and ask the “minorities are systematically oppressed” crew to explain that without some mental gymnastics.

So, why doesn't every company hire only black women and save 34% on labor costs?
We have the winner! Stopped reading here.

This pay gap is bullshite and the data is not a true apples to apples comparison. There is no such thing as a gender or racial pay gap
Agreed. It is a level of education and experience pay gap. A mechanical engineer is going to make more than a hairdresser at Fantastic Sams. I would almost be willing to bet if you looked at black women with mechanical engineering and 5 years experience vs a white male with the same; I would bet the black woman is actually paid MORE.

I am a Mechanical engineer and I am pretty sure I make the same as one white woman in our office with relatively the same credentials and significantly less than an Indian woman that has a year and a half on me.
It’s almost as though work experience is the driving factor in salary and not our skin color or gender :O

Work experience and education is racists!

Employers are biased against whites and Asians.
Mine recruits at Southern but not UNO. Using what criteria is Southern as good as UNO? None. Sorry, but HBCUs are a total joke. Only reason companies recruit at them is to fill quota's.

In my experience, they take more time off than any other group. Bitches call in sick for a broken fingernail.

Can't compare a Walmart cashier to an engineer.
Posted on 8/9/18 at 7:16 am to trom83
The black female engineers in my office make just as much as the white males. It's almost like qualifications matter.

I don’t believe this. Show me proof.
