Lockwood Dr, Fort Myers. Corner house, with concrete debris all along the edge of the house. Most neighbors had cars there when Google maps went by.

75 neighbors would have helped her already if she lived in LA

Obviously due to white supremacy

Truly disabled or is she just fat and lazy and doesn’t want to walk to a relief center?

They interviewed two people from two different neighborhoods/areas. One was in Dunbar (the man interviewed). The woman is from the Lake Park community in Naples.

This part of the article irks the shite out of me:
quote:

In River Park, many homes suffered 4 to 6 feet of flooding, downed trees and structural damage. Keeys said there are no shelters in close proximity to the neighborhood, leaving residents with nowhere to go if their homes are uninhabitable.

Most every school is/was a shelter during and after the storm. Looking at maps, there wasn't a school extremely close to her, but I'm willing to bet she had at least one vehicle prior to the storm.

On top of that, the story mentions nothing about her leaving before the storm. Which means she rode it out in a situation she knew damn well was shite. She almost certainly had means to get to a shelter before landfall. I won't even debate otherwise.

So, her refusal to put any effort into planning is now the responsibility of everyone else? Nah, frick that. Hope is not a plan. Her world went to shite while she ignored every opportunity to help her situation. Now, she is all too willing to spin it into a sob story of racism and discrimination.

As for the man in the Dunbar neighborhood of Fort Meyers, Dunbar High School was/is a shelter. It is conveniently located and easy to get to.

I am sick and damned tired of the "Many people don't have the means to evacuate" line that is so heavily leaned on post every storm. Evacuation does not have to mean driving hours out of town and booking a hotel room for multiple nights. It means getting your arse out of a situation that has a high probability of death or serious injury. The shelters, by design, offer that.

Those people had a catastrophic storm bearing down on them. The issue is no longer "protecting property". In that situation you literally cannot help what is going to happen, so preserving life becomes the focus. Your choice to stay does nothing but complicate matters. This isn't a situation like a tornado where the odds are in your favor (though it is still incredibly idiotic not to seek appropriate shelter if you are in a vulnerable living situation). It is a situation where there is a 95% chance you will have dire impacts. The odds are against you, and you are the only person who can ultimately help it.

She doesn't know that hurricanes are the only chance for the white man to get free shite?

Blacks are pathetic. Weak sheep that can’t help themselves. Cry racism and for big daddy Fed to save them from their own pathetic excuse of a community full of crime, drugs, stupidity, and lazy people.

So did the reporter at CNN do anything to help her out? Did they get her water or help with the microwave and stove? Or did they just thank her for the sound bite and move on to find another “victim” to take advantage of to push its agenda?

Black people are poor and disabled? Because the article in op is specifically about black people.

None of those community leaders can find time to pack up a truck with supplies and drop them off in the hood? They had time to cry to CNN.

Do something bitches. Damn.

I have never been able to understand why it is not blatantly racist of a democrat to assume that every person in a low-income community is a person of color. How in the hell is that not in and of itself a racist statement?

I, like many of us, have had enough of this shite. I will make a concerted effort not to open any threads like this in the future. Why would I intentionally piss myself off?
