I hate Billy Joel's music and style. It's not my thing at all. However, I also appreciate how incredibly talented he is. When I watched him perform live and it was jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring. He's incredible.
Even if you don't like someone's music, you can respect the musician.

Listen to some real Billy Joel music. Drop the needle on the Piano Man album. That is a hell of an album.
Piano Man, Streetlife Serenade, and Turnstiles are great albums from his early years when he was still working hard to make it.
