I feel like American Idiot is a pretty solid rock album. I still enjoy it today. The funny thing is though, if you listen to the lyrics on the album, they’re raging against modern day democrats. Everything they were mad at in 2004 is the democrat party today. Green Day is either too stupid to realize this, or just disingenuous and concerned about having the “right” views

Ha, ten years ago Metallica replaced them at Voodoo fest because he had to go to rehab. Best pivot Voodoo ever had.

I guess I never listened to the lyrics that closely. I thought it was bashing Republicans and George Bush over the Iraq war.
Either way, Dookie was a great album. I don’t listen to music based on the band’s political views. I don’t care where he lives or what he thinks. If they somehow make a great song again, I’d listen.
