And it’s absolutely fire....
The song is already expected to hit the top 10 on Billboard next week according to Chart Data.
But the remix might even chart higher, video of both of them in the studio is cool.
Bet this one charts on country.....

It sounds like the same exact song as the original. What’s the difference?

This is still not a country song just because you have a white guy spitting a verse on it FWIW

How is this any less country than that god awful talk-singing shite you hear on the radio these days? How many songs has Sam Hunt charted? It's the same damn stuff.

People on your side of the argument tend to think that the lyrics is what makes a song country or not. You could take the lyrics to any rap song and put it to a country instrumentals and it's no longer a rap song.

I'm not a country music fan, but I hear that drum machine in the background and lack of live instrument music and know instantly that it is not a country song. If the entire song's rhythm was the same as the beginning of the song, then sure maybe.

ETA: After a quick YouTube search I found where somebody made a bluegrass cover of Lil Jon's "Get Low". Same exact lyrics, but this is no longer a rap song.

My understanding of this song is Lil Nas X bought the beat on a website. The sampled banjo parts were taken from a nine inch nails song.

Lil Nas X added the lyrics.

Whether it is on the country charts or not, I don't see much talent so its not for me. To me country music has always been about musicians playing their instruments and singing songs I can relate to.

I don't hate it but I don't consider it real country just because he referenced a horse. Billy Ray Cyrus signing a verse doesn't make it a country song. For what its worth I don't care for any of the country rap stuff. That's fine country rap isn't made for guys like me that are into great musicians.

To be fair, new country is not much different than this song. Lol check out this video for the new Florida Georgia Line

Talk You Out of It

That is not even close to 'country' in the sense of genre. More like R&B

So what's with all the rappers today calling themselves lil?

Back in the 90's errybody was called ice.

Also, rap music sucks balls.

A 100% manufactured beat is not country. Country music might used electronic beats, but they always lay actual instruments on top of it.

Did you not hear the song? It has a banjo looped over the instrumental production!

But for real, all new country is just as trash. Just bc you loop a steel guitar over an 808 drum loop doesnt make something 'country'

Sad what country has become with all the hip hop and diversity

It used to be about trucks and beer and burning things with your friends

I just can't take the name lil nas x serious. All I can think of is that he took lil wayne, naz and DMX and came up with his own name.
