Well it's because you didnt bother to help him. Why didnt give him money while he was begging or give guidance when he needed it.

You act like Human Savior but you're full of shite.

No one is arguing he should be dead. We just don't care. This is literally play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Most importantly people care that the thief is celebrated and how that will encourage others to commit crimes against others.

Let’s just say he “stand your ground law” is a slippery slope. Shooting someone breaking into your truck is something I wouldn’t want to face. In LA, there’s a high probability that you’ll be charged with 2nd degree murder and would have one hellava court battle on your hands trying to get out of that mess. Imagine having to potentially face an EBRP jury

This.

I probably wouldn't have killed someone stealing a bicycle. However, you have to assume that a possible outcome of you stealing something is getting killed. It doesn't take a lot of brain power to figure that out.

Stealing a bike is shitty thug behavior, no excuse for that. However, I don't think chasing down someone who stole your bike, shooting them in the head and leaving them on the street to die is a proportionate response.

I agree, pull him out of the street. Its respectful to motorists.

I don't think it's an issue of "we think he should be dead because he stole a bike."

I think it's more like.... "We don't care that he's dead because he stole a bike."

Does it even say that Santiago tried or wanted to kill him?

It would be helpful to know the range of which the shot was fired. He could've just been trying to shoot him in the arm or leg, but missed. Oops.

Except when we pass laws that allows the Dr. to deliver the baby, and then do nothing until it dies. Why can't we all just look at this as a post-birth abortion?

It's even more amazing that you think people think you care about this dead idiot.

Stop virtue signaling and do something constructive.

which is definitely true and part of the point.

Maybe we need to value other people's personal belongings. I fricking hate a thief.

My son had his LED lights stolen off his bike at school. My wife and I work hard to buy shite. Then some little frickface walks by and grabs it off his parked bike?

Yeah, frick that little shite. Hope he gets whats coming to him.

Unfortunately you have to have a reasonable fear for your safety to use deadly force. If you see some guy breaking into your vehicle in your driveway you can't just walk out and shoot him. If you confront him and he pulls a gun on you or attacks you, you'd be justified.

Fine. He attacked me. Don't believe me? Ask him.

Oh well.

It is mind blowing how some many media outlets victimize black folks even if they commit crimes.

I'm not saying that I really care that he got shot. I just personally wouldn't be willing to risk going to prison over a bike or anything in my truck. If they are in my house I'll shoot first and ask questions later.

Fair enough.

Remember: Two quick rounds to the center of mass. Skip the headshot. That'll definitely get you in trouble.

I once had a drunk guy enter our home at like 3 am in the morning. I had no idea who he was, but it was surprising.. I was so shocked when I saw him all I could think of to say was, "hey man." then I shut my bedroom door. he walked right past my room and crashed on the sofa. He meant to go into my neighbors house.. i could tell he was no threat and completely intoxicated.. so i went outside and got my neighbors to come get him.. when they woke him up and explained everything to him.. he said, "i could have been shot!!!"

i wonder if you would have shot him too. to me, it wouldn't have been worth it, but that was a really rare situation. and yes my door was unlocked because i was going in and out a lot that night.

I don't disagree that stealing is wrong and should be punished appropriately, but you think the appropriate response is to shoot them in the face?
