Stealing a bike is shitty thug behavior, no excuse for that. However, I don't think chasing down someone who stole your bike, shooting them in the head and leaving them on the street to die is a proportionate response.

Maybe, but I bet he doesn't steal anything else...

Problem solved.

Why do people think that if someone victimizes me, I'm obligated to give a "proportional" response?

Sure. Stealing a bike isn't death penalty worthy.

Neither is driving drunk.

But, one can reasonably foresee that if you do either, the consequences may turn out worse than what some jury might give you.

That's life.

Maybe he was aiming for the arm or leg or just to scare him and the dude was jumpy and moving around... or maybe he just has bad aim...

You don't have to shoot someone in the freakin head. Shoot him in the leg if you want, but executing a guy because of a bike is ridiculous.

So the POS thief can sue you?

We get it, your virtue is signaled. You are woke.

The shooter is the only person I feel for. He did that community a solid.

Yea, I'm woke because I don't endorse murder over a damn bike. How poor are you?

Well you indicated that if you were on the jury, you'd find him not guilty. But you are aware of the law. You do know the role of a jury in a trial is to determine if someone is guilty of breaking the law, right?

You got shot for much less in the old west. At least back then we had values and drew the line on good vs evil. Now evil get pity and called a victim.

In this analogy a bike = horse

It isn’t woke or virtue signaling to think that staling a bike isn’t punishable by death.

Jfc. The law ain’t giving you the death penalty for it.

That’s dumb. They had bikes in the 1800s.

At best vehicles equal a horse.

That's cute. You think I'm poor because I don't care about a dead thug.

I think I'm doing better than the victim. You know, the guy that had his means of transportation stolen?

He didn't get the law, he got a reaction from a poor man defending his transportation. If the POS wasn't a thief he would steal be alive.

Link where I said it was the law? Thanks in advance.

He thinks you are poor because you endorse murder over a bike.

Nobody is asking about your feelings. Try to stay on point.
