Big changes coming....

Yesterday I qualified to run for one of the at Large Democratic Parish Executive Committee seats, known as DPEC. Last year when I ran for State Senate I had to go before the DPEC to seek the endorsement of the local Democratic Party. What took place that night showed me why democrats aren’t winning parish wide races. What took place that night showed me that political cronyism stands in the way of good candidates being heard for their ideas not why they are running against your friend.
These seats are for the people, and until we unrig the system of bad politics in our city and state politics — we won’t see real progressive change. We still rank last in the nation today, that didn’t change in the last 90 days and we’ve got to #KeepPushing for change to see that happen, that’s why I’m doing this.
In this race every registered democrat in East Baton Rouge Parish has the ability to vote for change in this election. You have district seats that good people are running for as well and they need your support.
When I see a problem I don’t just look at it, I say something, and then I step up to do something. Together we can do something about our parish executive committee.
I’m asking for your support April 4, 2020 to win this seat to begin to reform our local Democratic Party. Change starts from the bottom up, let’s rebuild the foundation of our politics.
I still believe #ChangeIsComing. When they go low, #LetsGoHigher.

DPEC or RPEC shouldn’t need an OT endorsement to win. It’s not hard. Chances are good you’re the only one on the ballot in your district.
