Booze and drugs can be quit and stayed away from altogether because you can live without them.
I’m not sure that was always true historically. In the past, fermentation often made beverages safer to drink, so avoiding it entirely wasn’t always practical. Today, we can live without it, but modern forms of alcohol and drugs are stronger and more refined, which makes the temptation even greater.

Proverbs 23:20-21 advises against excessive eating and drinking, and 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 encourages believers to honor God with their bodies, as they are temples of the Holy Spirit. Other relevant verses like Proverbs 23:2 and Galatians 5:23 highlight the importance of moderation, self-control, and taking care of one's physical health.
Do you have tassels on the foot corner of your cloak? Any of your garments mix linen and wool?
Sounds like you might be living a life of sin and not know it.

Besides my weight, all of my health measurables are better than average.

Jesus did for 40 days and 40 nights. Fatties should try to make it 18 hours. They’d see a big difference.

I’ve had a working theory for years that most people tend to prioritize sins they are least likely to commit. Abortion for people who can’t/can no longer get pregnant, homosexuality for heterosexuals, etc. It’s why I think most people don’t demonize things like adultery or divorce or gluttony in the way they do other sins. You know, just in case…

People who don’t sin have no need for Jesus.

It also has this part about judging.

Why does this always get excused? Nobody is born fat they but go to any baptist church service and it's like a before and way before weight watchers commercial.

This isn’t the only sin churches almost never touch. Divorce is quietly tolerated, church discipline and correction of members are almost nonexistent, and qualifications for leadership are often brushed aside when they would disqualify someone people like. Much of this comes from a seeker-sensitive, member-retention mindset. On top of that the church has taken the command not to judge out of context and applied it to everything which has created a culture with no real pressure toward repentance. The result is a church that prioritizes keeping people comfortable instead of calling them to holiness in every part of life.

Sure. My theory doesn’t address what sins people are actually committing; I’ve simply noticed a pretty blatant pattern in the sins people tend to talk about the most/get angriest about/claim is what’s ruining the country.
Though there is a corollary: people who make a living talking about other people’s sinfulness (pastors, politicians, etc) have an odd propensity to get really aggressive about sins they commit. Firebrands on homosexuality tapping toes in public bathrooms and whatnot.
