Kicker would be if Mel Smith turned out to be a middle aged white woman.

He’s scared of the dark. And trees, and trucks and trains and maybe even Momma.

Sounds like a David Allen Coe song on the radio.

I had no idea that in Africa, the sun shines for 24 hours a day,

That baobab trees wouldn't scare someone at night,

That a certain crop was an enemy (whups, I used two words that begin with "c")

That passing from one tribal land to another was not a problem in Africa,

And that a grown man could capitalize the letter N in paraNoia.

Im scared to go to Rome. Seeing the Colosseum might remind me that someone in my family tree might have be slaughtered for the sake of entertainment.

It must be tiring as hell to be offended by everything you hear or see every damn day.

It’s time for therapy when you let your imagination cause that much anxiety IRL.

We all are concerned these days about unfamiliar environments, but if all we look for is the negatives then we deserve misery.

There are more good people in this country than bad, but the good are discouraged from dealing with the bad in an effective manner.

It's incredible that there are people so stupid that they think growing cotton should no longer happen because of black people.

I don't have the largest group of black friends, but I do have one and he is also scared to go on road trips. He's told me already, that there are places that he can't stop because he's black. This is coming from an educated (he's a computer programmer) black man who grew up in a middle class family with both of his parents, and who attend a rural school that was 90%+ white. It makes zero sense.

You must not talk to many black people then. Even with being far removed from the history, I still see some occasional conversations on my social media feed about not driving or stopping in sun down towns at night.

Umm, yeah, that doesn't have anything to do with the cotton fields.
