I listed 2 jobs that most would agree are fairly tough jobs, but you carefully say “probably” as to not immediately be a hypocrite with your “you have to be a parent to know the stresses of it” argument.

What about president of the us, is that a hard job? Or are you going to say “maybe”?

Sorry for not being a hypocrite I guess. What exactly do you want here?

Again, probably. But I don't know. Being a congressman seems like it would be hard, but they have a bunch of fricking dumbasses constantly re-elected, so how hard can it really be?

I started teaching last year and one of the main reasons was because it's pretty easy compared to other jobs I've had. I go in at 7 and I'm home by 2:45 like sitting on my couch watching TV by then. Of course, there's the occasional time where you have to stay late or do a bunch of work at home, but it all weighs out. Sure the kids are annoying as frick sometimes and their parents are even worse, but show me a job that doesn't have it's problems. At the end of the day, I'm off every weekend, holidays (plus sick days) and the summer which is more than I can say about my old jobs. Me and my girlfriend like to travel and this gives us plenty of time to go wherever we want.

Finally a teacher says the truth around here.

I basically work 5 hours a day 1/2 the year (teaching)

so you don't plan anything ? Just wing it all year ?

There is planning, grading, and etc. There are seven periods at my school. Teachers teach 5 of them. They have 2 periods for planning/supervision and then lunch to get that stuff done. I also have a student-aide (student that helps) and sometimes a teachers-aide (paid assistant) to grade stuff, make copies, basic admin work.

No, you’re being intellectually dishonest for arguments sake. You’re playing the fence because you know if you were honest about the toughness of those jobs, you’d immediately discredit your argument.

Again, probably. But I don't know

I asked you if the job of president, one that you can see how much it ages people in 4 years, is tough and you said “probably.” I don’t need a response.

You’re already doing that in an effort to not discredit your “you need to be a mom to know how hard it is” take.

He knows you're right which is why he's answering the way he is. Of course you don't have to do something to know its difficult, under that logic people wouldn't be able to speak about anything because the answer would be I don't know 99% of the time.

I don't have to go to Afghanistan and stay up 72 hours reconning a house to know that it would be hard. To argue any thing else is retarded

Having shitty pay =/= your job is tough.

There are actually a decent amount of people who choose to teach if/when money is no longer a concern, so how tough can it really be?

Teacher's have my respect because of the time and effort for the pay sucks, but it's not the toughest job in the world by any means.

If some 25 year old was quoted saying it was the hardest job out there, just move your eyes past it and carry on.
Because today's society is for everything to either outrage you or annoy you, and people simply can't just ignore shite like that.
