Not good at your job or can't communicate with leadership, unfairly lose your job.

You can know it while simultaneously not knowing it. You can't appreciate it until you actually live it.

But calling mothers as a whole delusional shows that you don't even really know it at all.

I would honestly prefer we replaced them with robots.

Same as any other job, but hey like I said, you believe what you want to believe.

I don't need to appreciate it. You suggested that I'd need kids of my own to know what it's like. Which is preposterous. I compared it to mothers because we constantly hear about how being a mother is the "hardest job on the planet." Every job that is done by women is the "toughest job ever." The reason for that is because women inherently don't want to work.

I know you're in here knighting for your wife, but if she works hard and doesn't complain then it's not necessary.

I am a teacher and I think that article is borderline ridiculous. I basically work 5 hours a day 1/2 the year (teaching). It’s 180 days a year. People who complain are either crazy or lack perspective. Most teachers I know realize they have it pretty easy.

It's not though.

Here we go. You saying your successful wife does what she does because she doesn't want to work? That's confusing.

ETA: I'm not knighting for my wife in this thread. I find people like you more annoying than mothers that say parenthood is hard.

I don't understand why it needs to be a competition as to what job out there is the toughest??

Does it matter?

Is teaching hard? Yes. Is firefighting hard? Yes.

They are both difficult for different reasons. If some 25 year old was quoted saying it was the hardest job out there, just move your eyes past it and carry on. It's obviously impossible for that statement to be true unless the person saying it has experienced every job out there.

I don't understand why the affront.

It's preposterous and a fairly basic logical fallacy. One doesn't have to be x to understand what x does. You already know this.

We speak in general terms, because if we couldn't speak in general terms we wouldn't be able to communicate.

So you and I just happened to find the exceptions?

ETA: If given the option, most men would rather do something other than their job. Acting like that only applies to women is silly.

If any of the poor bastards who built the pyramids were still around, they'd have a rebuttal to this.

Where do you hang out that this is a constant topic of conversation? Did you have a shitty mother? You sound so bitter.
