Open and I always have done this except when the wife and I were going to get busy. Once kids were in their beds, the door closed. It was opened and remained open afterwards. It was open mainly so the kids could come in if necessary. For morning fun, it was closed……then opened.

The door may not be wide open but is open nevertheless.

When I was married, we always had the door closed. I didn't want my kids to be aware of the lack of sex that I was getting.

This too. I want to be able to hear someone trying to get into the house before the alarm starts blaring so I can be a bit more prepared, just in case.

Closed, turn the A/C off at night and turn on a window unit. My bedroom is much colder and my electric bills are a lot lower.

Before cat, no. after cat, always. I know the HVAC needs the door open, and we have a shunt, but cats and sleep don't mix.

Open…

18” 12ga w/#4 buckshot behind headboard, .45acp in my nightstand drawer, 85# yellow lab at the foot of my bed.

I may get shot, but I won’t be the only one bleeding…

Open, the dog goes between the kid's room and ours throughout the night.

He gets pissed if he can't check on everyone.

It doesn't matter to me. The wife, on the other hand, not only wants it closed but locked as well.

Is the thought that if you need more than 12 minutes you're probably toast anyways?

Open, so the dog can come in and out. He has a bed in the living room and one in our bedroom.

I have 3 small children. It’s open because I have to always be ready to rumble.

Closed.

Have ceramic floors throughout the house (after having carpet for years). AC flow is not an issue.

What is tho you speak of?

Lucky, my wife needs to be showered and get massage with lotion at night when I’m about to fall asleep before doing the deed.
