My theory is suicide. If they become too weak to keep going up for air they will drown. So they beach themselves to die peacefully instead of drowning.

Saw one of these off the coast in Linai and you could smell the carcas from miles away. Some guys flew a drone over it and you could see a feeding frenzy of sharks.

I have heard other ocean mammals like dolphins and porpoises doing the same thing. They do it sometimes when they are sick too. There have been stories where biologists were called early enough and would take them into captivity and nurse them back into health.

Just like people, they can be stubborn animals too. Sometimes they rescue an animal and escort it out to sea, only to have them swim back to the beach.

The torso of a stripper was found in BSL, other parts in the Pass and East.
