What is worse is when I'm on the front row of rented chairs and others bring their own chair and umbrella and are right in front of me ... I get it. It's their right. And I don't say a word to them. But that imo is inconsiderate.

For the cost of a grouper sandwich at AJ's, I can have my chairs and umbrellas already set up for me, and broken down for me. Also, the nicer places have an umbrella boy that goes around adjusting people's umbrellas throughout the day as the sun moves. Those get tipped. I used to be one of those 10x10 guys too. I make too much money now to deal with that shite.
Yeah. There’s no way I’m going to a beach and not just renting chairs.

And some have beach service so I can get that grouper sandwich and all of my alcohol delivered to that chair. Now I don’t have to carry a cooler down either

What's better are the people who set up right at the water at 5 am and don't come down until noon. If there's a gap anywhere between that row of unused stuff I'll push stuff to the side to make a bigger gap and put my stuff between. I like the looks you get once they finally come down a few hours later but no one ever says shite.

Set up one of those loud arse wind tents right in front of them and stay playing Frisbee or football.

They are set up a decent ways from the boardwalk and not blocking the water. Looks like a lot of rented chairs in front of them. You’d likely have to walk a little to the left or right to get a decent spot anyway.
Don’t let something so small get you worked up in vacation.

frick that. What's the property address? Give us the name and number and we can all call and complain like we're staying there.

Didn't read the thread but most hotels/condos contract with beach services to put up and rent the setups.
.... and from what I can tell, they will block non-renters from setting up in front of them. Most setup early and as close the waterline as possible.
Was on the Navarre Beach pier yesterday and the adjacent condo had 3 rows up - first 2 fairly dense and 3rd spread out.

Bigger issue is the people setting up in front of the paid chairs. Should never be allowed.

This doesn't bother me at all. I don't let stupid shite bother me though.

I wouldn't even say that our area is crowded, but the amount of people who are inconsiderate of others around them and only looking out for themselves is disheartening to say the least
I don't mind a crowded general area, but I'm not staying at a high rise condo, or a house with a condo across the street. The last mile of West Beach Blvd in Gulf Shores is awesome. 100 ft wide lots with single family homes, no condos in site.

Set up a volleyball net right next to them and invite John Candy.

These same folks will probably let their children run all over the place while the dads with tattoos play cornhole and pound Michelob Ultras and the moms drink their “special juice” from their Stanley.

We always set up 4 wide in the neutral ground. My large family of 3 like to spread out and not be bunched in by the riff raff.

Some places we’ve stayed at had designated places for canopies in between the rentals, and were strict about setting up past a point by the shoreline, which was cool and seemed to work better. Sometimes we’ve rented a bunch of the umbrella chairs and also set up canopies between them, which was real good too. It is a cool feeling when you’ve got a good shanty thing with coverage setup.
When the kids were little, our place had a plastic kiddie pool we’d bring out too (it was close to the water) which was awesome.

Gotta be Norleansesque Mardi Gras a-hole types.

They’re on vacation. What is the problem with anything in your description?
A parent letting their children run wild on top of other people while said parent drinks and doesn’t pay much attention to their kids. That’s the sort of thing inconsiderate people like the OP has encountered do. That was my point.
