Is this really news? 140 people across 21 states got diarrhea.

I'd be willing to bet more than 140 people had diarrhea TODAY, in Ascension Parish alone

Does this mean we will all have to mask up to go into a restaurant?

No bullshite, I was one of those who was one of those hit by the first cyclosporiasis outbreak in the country back in 1990. fricking brutal and I couldn't imagine having it now. I still don't trust WI water...solely bottled when we vacation there now.

Well I just did a round of Ivermectin, followed by Albendazole and Quinfamide.
I’ll see how that does.

140 people in a population of nearly 350 million? You have a better chance of dying driving to wherever you might catch it.

I had this back in 2013, the last major outbreak I can remember.

quote:

Contaminated Foods: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and FDA traced the outbreaks to contaminated fresh produce. Specifically, restaurant-associated cases in Iowa and Nebraska were linked to a salad mix containing iceberg and romaine lettuce, red cabbage, and carrots. In Texas, fresh cilantro was identified as the likely source. Traceback investigations pointed to agricultural facilities in Mexico.
