Why is the government getting involved in this? I don't see any department stores in NBR and they have clothes

Would be tragic if all the rim shops folded up.

Piggly Wiggly pulled out of Delmont Village and from Florida at Donmoor because the shoplifters stole them blind.

Good post Rocket.

We see and read about all the problems with parish government. We see problems in BRPD with pay and a lack of numbers. We see the DA with layoffs. We see and hear about long delays at the permit office. We read about a sidewalk along Gardere that was funded in Feb. of 2015, but nothing has been done yet.

Then we see the mayor is working on funding more studies, paying more consultants and lobbyists, planning on grocery stores, and setting up bike share programs.

The gang that couldn't shoot straight is hell bent on spending more of our tax dollars on their pet projects while basic city-parish problems go unaddressed.

Worked in the DA's office as a student attorney my last semester in the spring of '17 with some classmates. There are a lot of good, hard-working people in the DA's office, and it's a damn shame any of them have to be let go for budget reasons.

Chief Administrative Officer Darryl Gissel emphasized Wednesday the difficulty of numerous priorities that are pulling the mayor’s office up, down, left and right. He said departments across the city-parish are struggling to work within their budgets..

But, have you seen the St. George budget!

I think they have a couple of Shopper's Value stores too. It's not like they have to drive to Perkins or Coursey to buy groceries.
