Damn yall got me all excited.Everyone in woodland ridge and Camelot with demco has power except my street.
If there’s a way to report this, I would. Are you at the end of the line? After Gustav, my SIL was at the end of the line and got missed. The rest of her street/subdivision was up, and a week later she’s still down. When they finally reached someone, they said it was just a switch or something and got her up immediately. Just FYI

Both of those are energized and it’s a mixture of underground and overheard back lot design.
Chances are there is a damaged back lot overhead conductor.
Thanks for the info by the way
Also is this good news or bad news

Those back lot OH designs are fused a good bit.
The question is: Do you have power lines in your back yard?

Given the amount of shite down in the back part of the neighborhood and virtually no presence from Entergy in the area since the storm I’d say…not good
Not good at all. And lots of “Ahh it’s back on!” And then minutes later — zip. Big neighborhood. Needs some help.

In Woodland Ridge the portion that is out now is connected to a switch off Coursey.. They ALWAYS forget it. If you know somebody with Entergy, or see a truck driving around like they are looking for something behind the school or off Chapelwood, let them know, for the 100th time, that the WR problem is across the creek off Coursey. They told me when I lived there that the maps or layout they had did not show this and once reminded the power was usually back on in 10 minutes.

damn. that can't be good. I think Lake Sherwood is fed from there. Any idea on how long to repair?

We must be on the same street in Woodland Ridge cause we don't have power yet either.

Obviously, that's bad. Are we talking days to repair something like that? Weeks?

How’s Oak Hills looking?
I'm on N. Lakeview. There was a large tree down on the power lines over on the opposite side of the lake. Yesterday, my neighbor told me the tree was cleared, but I didn't go look. Anyway, yeah, we always get power back towards the end, so I'm not expecting it to come back on till next week.

I am very jealous of all the returning power.
Seems like we're still sitting in limbo in Walker. I've not seen any Demco trucks yet.

The question is: Do you have power lines in your back yard?
I talked to a friend of mine at entergy last year and got some information about this because I’m on the same circuit as BilJ.
We use to be on the same circuit as the guy on the west lakeview circuit with a 34.5kV overhead line coming in the neighborhood (over the arboretum). When delta blew through last year it knocked down those overhead lines on west lakeview at Verdun (about 100 yards from where the current downed power lines are sitting). It was obvious when we would get power back because that line fed our circuit.
But at some point last year we were switched to a secondary feeder from the “Pecue” side according to my friend. Doing my own recon, it looks like overhead lines cross Siegen at Quail Ridge then run down Lazy K. The overhead lines then go underground behind a house at Masterson and Lazy K. From there it’s underground all the way down Pastureview.
But according to some people on our street, that may actually be a different circuit. We are potentially tied in with the people on Mossy Oak (the street behind us) and I’m not sure where that’s fed from. Wish I had access to a one-line of the whole neighborhood.
The old parts of the neighborhood are fed from that overhead 34.5kV line and some other parts are underground. But it’s frustrating having toddlers and seeing houses barely down the street with power when you’ve almost been out for a week! I put a deposit down on a generator in June to avoid this but apparently that’s not enough lead time
My background is in power but I don’t work for a utility so the way they structure their circuits may be different than my gut instincts.
EDIT: Blutarsky, please email me at bigapple828@aim.com. Thanks.

We definitely have to be tied to the mossy oak one, both went down at the exact same time

Anyone got any insight on Broadmoor in BR? Major transmission line runs right through it, and the tree casualties don't appear that bad from what I've seen (at least in relation to power lines). But I've yet to see any electrical co. trucks in the neighborhood.

Bapple - I'm in Iberville Terrace (Rue Villantray). You have more info about the area than I do. Any idea what circuit we may be on? Trying to learn more about the area. TIA
