It's really common everywhere. It is easy to commit and easy to get caught.

I work in healthcare consulting and we often joke that 50% of our clients have been charged with some sort of fraud in the past.

I mean, those are the type of people who are smart enough to get familiar with the profession, open up and operate a business and being able to maintain it. Even smart enough to find out how to run around and cheat from the government but stupid enough not to know that sooner or later you will get caught. These types of frauds are just a matter of time before getting busted.

This is why any form of socialized medicine is doomed to failure. Fraud and graft.

It seems a favorite of the OT has entered the picture.

From the La house of representatives?

A La House rep defending a Health insurance fraudster. What a perfect Louisiana story.

Do you have issues with reading? Landry was representing St. Martin's.

As a laboratory owner, it’s people like this that make it so damn hard for us to operate and get contracts with large payers. There are a few other Labs in Nola that are shutting down due to similar issues….leave no Stone unturned.

It’s not hard to make money in the lab space, specially during covid but EKRA is nothing to mess with. They will hunt you down with haste.

All and genetics. Sequencing is growing more and more popular but it’s a one time bill and very tedious.

Roger that. I'm sure our paths have crossed. Got out of the business right before COVID hit. Don't miss it one bit.

Best of luck to you, sir!

Different circumstances. She didn't run for anything and get duly elected to be in a position to make those decisions. I would still be pissed, but most of my frustration would be towards the ignorant electorate that voted the said idiot into that position of responsibility.

She took it upon herself to defraud taxpayers.

And yes, I am generally anti-government and feel the same way towards anyone. Tax dollars aren't yours to use to increase your bank account.

I've said this for years. If the government did an audit on every place that accepted Medicare or Medicaid, the amount of fraud they would find would be insane.
