you boys -- and frick no, I'm not using that dumbass word y'all use -- can barely hide your racism, except that more than a few of you are racist AND too cowardly to actually come out and say what you want to say;

there's a word for that; pussy;

but god damn, you fricks who beat your chest about how Louisiana stands on its own and won't be beholding to the federal government ... well, that's the most idiotic idea that has come down the pike in a while;

Louisiana, as almost all southern states, is a net receiver of federal dollars, meaning those yankees send more money than the rebels send; but y'all are too fricking stupid to recognize that; morons

and it doesn't matter; y'all don't recognize truth; reality has no currency these days;

so, I guess, revel in your ignorance

Every thread has someone making this point. It’s such bullshite. Louisiana has a widespread issue. It’s not isolated to a few pockets in the state. It’s all over. Does this make it acceptable?

There’s plenty of these types here. If an EMP wiped out the country, the south would figure it out faster than anywhere else. When they say things like what you’re bitching about, they’re referring to themselves, not the state as a whole. Shortsighted, ignorant, or blind pride… is what it is.

Louisiana’s problems aren’t because of good ol’ boys that fly the rebel flag. That’s for dam sure

TL;DR if you want to move out of state, I would heavily consider it. I just can’t believe what I put up with for so long living in NOLA/BR.

I accomplished the same thing you did just by moving across the Lake and I did not have to shite on people that maybe like living in NO/Br. People that live there are well aware of the drawbacks and they can make their own decisions. You talk about moving to wonderland but for some odd reason refuse to say where wonderland is located.

You can get a similar experience just by getting out of NOLA and BR but staying in La. While I am not advocating it, you don't need to move to another state to find friendly and helpful people at your dry cleaner, hardware store, pharmacy, deli or auto parts store.

you don't need to leave BR or NOLA for this either. i'm really not sure why this is always a talking point in these threads as it's probably the last reason to move elsewhere.

nope. i never go to lakeview for anything, i just never had these customer service issues that seem to be so common on here.

to be perfectly clear, there are, without a doubt, a million reasons to move.

It is, on the edge of the DC metropolis. Are you into wine? There are some great wineries around there. One we like is Vent Hill, the birthplace of the NSA. Or hiking? Old Rag and White Oak Canyon are close. Or climbing, mountainbiking, paddling, fishing, hunting, etc. Harper's Ferry is always worth a visit.

I'll be out that way for a kid's track meet at VMI Saturday, but hope to stop by for some skiing at Massanutten.

Love Louisiana and the years in my youth I spent there and at LSU, but sure there are other great places to live. I don't feel the need to crap on La however.
