We went to Nebraska last year and I found the same thing true of all service jobs and especially in grocery and fast food places.

Filipinos do that stuff here and kick arse. Far superior to white people when it comes to discipline and service.

Illegals are much less of a drag on the country than most of the population of NOLA.

We even went to Popeyes and was through the drive through with our correct multi person order in 2 minutes. Again, never happening outside of maybe canes or chic fil a and certainly not at Popeyes.
Service at popeyes here in Wichita is still shite sadly

you can get a daiquiri at a drive through

Since I realized that the NOLA I grew up in was gone, this is one of the few things I miss

First thing I do when I cross back into LA is get a drive through daiquiri.

Funny enough, it's legal for passengers in TN to have an open container, but it's not in Louisiana despite the drive-throughs.

The word itself has objective meaning. The rest is inconsequential.

Unfortunately you have illustrated many reasons why major corporations refuse to locate in Louisiana.
I call it the Haiti Hangover.
I’ve been to several foreign countries and most of our states here in the US.
I have met people here in BR who have never even traveled to Port Allen.
I know people who have never read a book and believe that entertainment consist of watching rassling and the Saints.
Many claim that Louisiana is great because of the food/music and New Orleans is the greatest city in the Galaxy.

Our state has major problems and one is that many deny that we have a problem.

We live in a pretty diverse area. Difference is most people have a college degree or are entrepreneurs/tradespeople. No huge housing projects and generational welfare recipients.

Except the good school districts are crazy to buy into. Also you forgot to mention the guilt trip from grandparents for you moving away.

If people don't travel, they never realize the difference. I spend a lot of time in another state and it is amazing. 3 people in a Wal Mart asked me if I needed help. Same in Lowes. Unbelievable

The Walmart in Page, Arizona makes South Louisiana Walmarts seem like Whole Foods.

And it's all White and Latino Trash. I absolutely loved shopping there a few times in Summer of 21. Made me feel good about my life.

Imagine having family that wants you to suffer over being happy for you.

I'd raise my hand but I have a daiquiri in one hand and a po boy in the other.

I'd give you a fist bump, but I have a daiquiri in one hand and a can of Holy Roller in the other.

How far is this place from the following:
My parents
My wife’s mom
Other family
Our friends
Our kids friends
Louisiana fishing and hunting
LSU

All of the above are more important to me than getting good service at Popeyes, getting my battery changed, and if I have to drive over some bumps in the road.
