Back up cameras

How is it distracting?

My truck lets me swap between front, back, side, etc anytime.

The backup camera's are supposed to only be triggered on when the vehicle is in reverse. There is actually a sensing wire in the dash, at least there is in my Ram. I'm sure it could be manipulated to bring up the camera fill time or on demand.

Some newer trucks have cameras that show all sides of the truck. It's useful if you're off-roading so you can see your tires and what terrain they're going over, side clearances, etc.

Very handy on I-10 when you're commuting in from Ascension Parish.

I don’t know why you’d want this. The backup camera display in my truck (2018 F150) is on the radio screen. This screen also shows me who’s calling, let’s me hear text messages while driving, not to mention what station is on the radio, temp, and time. I’d rather be able to see these things than a road level view of what I can already see in my rear view mirror while I go down the highway.
