I agree. Wonder if he thinks rear view mirrors are distracting also
At night I have a front facing infrared camera up at all times.
Not sure why people think having the rear camera up presents some sort of issue. Rear facing cameras transmitted as mirrors are becoming more popular. Eliminates blind spots.

Is it legal for someone to grow their own marijuana in their house? Hmm..
Only if they catch you..
But seriously, they are talking about vehicles.. Didn't realize it at first.. Backup camera.. As in reverse camera.. I thought he was talking about an extra camera.. Back up..
But it is legal to set cameras up in your house.. I am not sure it is legal to video someone without them knowing or use it to see people's personal moments, but if you set up a camera where it is seen, that's not illegal.

Being the devilishly handsome fella that I am, I can attest to the distraction that presents itself when checking the rear view mirror and ending up getting lost in these hazel eyes.

Pretty sure I can turn both my cameras on anytime I want, but why when I'm driving?

its distracting as hell for the driver, and could very well be used against him in any auto accident litigation
Jesus. Relax, Gordon

But why?
I'd love for that to be legal and standard. I'm 6'4", and between the big A pillars now, and the big rearview mirror in the middle of the windshield, it's a pain in the neck to keep bobbing my head around to see what's coming from the right front.
I'll be goddamn happy when I've just got a panel in the dash with left side, right side and straight rear view, and it ought to be possible now.

That’s when just don’t look at it when you shouldn’t. Simple.
