I didn’t notice, it was a nice day. Every table was full & there was a line to pick up food the whole time we ate

Speaking of restaurants we went to Italian Barrel a couple weeks ago. Holy frick the service was bad. Food was decent at least.

the problem is finding a location where the neighborhood will let you do it, that's in a relatively accessible location, and wouldn't be totally price prohibitive.
Yep. The closest thing that happened was that Porch and Patio place in Kenner, but the owner didn’t know what he was doing and that’s not in a prime area.
Wasn’t their talk of an interesting place in the works off Labarre up closer to Airline?

Just think how big of an absolute tool one has to be to think they are "too good" to eat dinner in a neighboring parish.

That's why I said the few people who said that. There are some responses at the bottom saying "people here finally waking up" and they're downvoted and someone told the person to go back to JP
I'm glad to see the other side is starting to wake up, but I wish they'd admit they were waking up instead of saying things like "well it is okay because the CDC now says..", which I've seen all over Reddit today :/

Like someone said, the wanted to do it on Met Rd at the old Garden Gate. I think the landlord just wanted way too much $. Supposedly someone is going to do something across the street from there where the funeral home used to be. I’m sure old Metry folks will complain about people parking in front of their houses or something though.

Agreed. The arrogant Nola faux foodsnob attitude is really annoying. Just think how big of an absolute tool one has to be to think they are "too good" to eat dinner in a neighboring parish.
There are good places to eat in Metry. We are mostly fricking with you people, I eat in JP relatively regularly.
its just the list he posted is pretty trash?
Mr. Ed's? Fury's? fricking Drago's? Is he 100 years old?
Shogun is really good though.

I’m confused. The number 1 most upvoted comment on the biggest thread literally calls latoya a hypocrite.

I love Uchi Sushi mainly bc the family that runs it doesn’t care about whatever the parish is requiring. I think the food is good but I’m no connoisseur. The staff is why we come back.

new Orleans isn't a closed system.

Oh really? Why’s that?
Because the vaccinations aren't terribly effective after several mutations of this virus.
And the current version of this virus is nothing.

Don't worry about it
I don't think I'm making what I'm saying very clear. It doesn't matter anyway. Just something I've noticed over the past 2 days as more and more has come out re: masks, vaccines, Covid in general.
I see the top comment is you. And I agree with you/your comment.

I find it hard to believe so many people still give a frick about Covid.
But they definitely do. Its wild.
