I was in San Diego and no one cared. I honestly couldn't believe it. California! and then I came back to Louisiana with a mask mandate and NOLA with both a mask mandate and a vaccine mandate.

SD was the lone R stronghold for a while. Its waffled but isn't as bat shite as LA or SF.

Do you think I, personally, thought people needed to be vaccinated to return to normal?
No, I think you were stupid enough to believe the people that were very clearly already drunk on their newfound power were going to give it up willingly just because you put a needle in your arm.

You really completely missed the argument, didn't you?
Not even a little, though I’m sure you wish I did.

The amount of people walking on the Greenway with their masks on is fairly astonishing. It's like they took the first guidance from March 2020 and just ran with it. I'm surprised I don't see more people hosing down their groceries, honestly

People driving, with their windows down, with no one else in the car with them, with masks on.

Simple answer
New Orleans is run by blacks
I see more black people wearing a mask per week than I do white people in a month.
Would a black poster on this site please help us white people understand y’all’s obsession with mask wearing.
I don’t fricking get it. Everywhere I go this holds true.
I’ve been in 6-7 diff states since this staryed it’s the same everywhere I go.

My favorite is people riding bikes with them on. Only place I have worn one for months is the library.

I always assume they're just an Uber and forgot to take it off after finishing a ride. Probably giving way too much credit

The masking has been surprising here in BR as well. Restaurants are about 50-50, depending which one you're at. Many of them are making staff do it, but they seem to be more lax on the employees who just ignore it.
But I'm surprised that ~50% of people are masking to go into bars and restaurants. I don't recall it being that high during the second mandate. The idea of someone choosing to go to a packed bar and wearing their mask is lost on me.
Grocery stores are the highest %, from what I can tell. Sprouts and Robert are easily 80% masked, if not more.
There is this young, jacked dude that rides down Highland daily and has his mask on
Dude is probably in the top 1% of health..

Well I think it does matter. I stopped hanging around my friends that kept pushing the vaccine. Then they’d try to send me propaganda on how great vaccines are and all this bs. I would just say I’m not getting an experimental drug that barely lowers my risk if at all. They’d all say, you cant get covid once your vaccinated.
But in the end I was right. And they were assholes. Don’t be the a-hole.

Didn’t you support JBE over Vitter/Rispone?

You think I was doing that in real life not just fricking around on a message board?

That explains why you keep responding, because you don’t give a frick.
