That's not a huge waist as a male. I wore a 36 waist in high school as a 6'6 245 lb defensive end and I had 6 pack abs

I didn't say everyone that has a 38" waist should. I just said for myself. You are a lot taller than I am so for me to get to a 38" waist, I'd have to be rather obese.

Sounds like an excuse to be a fat lazy wife

I’m not sure what size waist my wife has but I do know she’s wears a size 0-2 dress, so pretty small. How in the frick do her jeans cost $300+, it’s nit that much fabric being used. Designers are criminal to us baws

The article measured the waist. If you were saying the avg. woman's waist was 32.3" but they wore 37.3" jeans, I could maybe follow your line of thinking. The article states otherwise though. By your thinking, the avg. woman according to the article would need a 42.3" waisted jean.

According to the article, the median american woman is a size 18

This is a size 18 woman

That is not what I would say is the median woman today

You must be all fat, no bulk.

I'm 5'11" 180 in a 33-34

36 falls off my sculpturesque rear end.

Sure diet plays a huge role, but for the most part, Americans are more sedentary compared with our European/Asian counterparts. Travel abroad for some time and you’ll see how so many cultures walk way more than we do. Some people in Europe walk 8-12 miles a day. We use a car for everything here in the US.

No question about it having an impact as well. The diet and lack of exercise combined make for a volatile cocktail. It’s just hard to miss the diet though. It’s a system that breeds overweight. Anybody who’s ever tried to eat healthy during the day can attest to how difficult it is to find truly healthy options, and we are always looking for a deal. I’m convinced that most people would prefer quantity over quality. Just order a salad at most every restaurant and it’s almost certainly swimming in fat, and don’t get me started on carbs. Damnit... it’s not that you can’t find it, but it is difficult, and takes some work, and the decent restaurant options are quite few and far between. If you’re on the road and in a rush, it’s not going to end well for you.

6'0 190 here (ding) I fluctuate between 35 & 36, the 36" let me know I need to stop being a fat fatty. Would really like to get down to 34, its just hard, especially since I love food.
