Breakdancing seems like such an obvious, try-hard ploy at equity and inclusion.
Yup. Like when the music industry got white-guilted into giving Grammys for talentless dreck like hip-hop/rap.

The reaction to this is a good example of hive mind. Are people under the impression that shitty people can’t qualify for the Olympics. This was a chick who was way older than everyone else and way less “athletic”. The moves were serious, she was just really shitty.
A guy from Tongo ran a 12.11 in the mens 100m.
If you think this is bad you should see the "trolling" in the winter olympics. The barriers to entry in some of the events are mostly money related. If you have enough money to fly around and meet certain points requirements (like finishing top 30 in enough meets) and you have a country you can "represent" you are in.

Supposedly she’s a dance professor at a university in Australia. Donny knows of that’s true or not.

Heard she did her PhD dissertation in break dancing

Her moves were not tight.

What did they do differently and why is this in the Olympics? They are both just squirming around.
Glad I didn’t watch this year.

Major Troll and she’s taking it to the end.

Here’s the thing. She spends all day upside down. It was really difficult to train for the Northern Hemisphere. Her tricks are actually much more impressive when she does them in her native hemisphere.

Thing is Australians are really pissed about this.

Honestly I think she was just really tired and jet lagged. I saw her yawning several times while waiting her turn to break simething.

Edit 2: No, I think she had a plan and freaked out/forgot everything on the stage and improvised badly.
She just didn’t have it… a plan wouldn’t have helped

Doesn't really look like the breakdancing I saw during the 1980s.
