The agreement would put workers under a “temporary compensation reduction that is in line with the assistance that it receives from the federal government related to the COVID-19 pandemic.” By signing the agreement, the company’s employees would have their paychecks between April 6 and April 20 cut by 100% of any money received under the stimulus bill.

The company would also take half of the $500 stipend allotted for dependents under the bill.

Legit cost saving strategy.

All you gotta do is quit if you want your full stipend, lolz.

I’m pretty sure that’s illegal. What kind of moron would sign that?

this company must have a largely unskilled, felonious employee base. no way anyone with any real options would stick around for long after that.

No way hell they can do this. FWIW I don't think you should receive anything if you haven't had your hours reduced or been laid off. But there is no way a company can legally do this.

They will be when they’re likely laid off right after the company gets a pay period of government paid labor.

That would be illegal and highly immoral.

You can't cut somebody's paycheck to below minimum wage.

Also, what the hell Texas?

Not sure if serious, but that would make the boycott a more difficult decision.

Not sure about this. Is there an option to decline the govt check?

Doesn’t seem like a good idea either way.
