Find an attorney willing to tackle this and get it started! No need to wait on someone.

I paid the same price for my online degree that brick and mortar students paid. If they pay a discounted rate for the online classes the degree should specify the percentage of online classes that made up their course load.

What is the cost breakdown these days (if we were in normal times)?
Full time student on campus?
Full time student taking online classes?
Full time student taking night classes?

They should not be charging full price for the classes when they are going to be 100% online.
I agree with him
If we'd have known with certainty this was going to happen we'd of had our son sit out this semester rather than wasting the money.
How many in-person classes did you think your son should have to justify the cost of LSU tuition?
Parents had to know that there would a very high probability that all classes would be online this year.

LSU 100% needs to refund AT LEAST room and board if all classes are online.

First of all, I'm not an attorney

The other side of this is, why do you want poor kids to pay room and board, which includes fees for items they can barely use? Why do you hate students?

All online? I’d have been drunk, high and dead in that order.

Why? You are paying for the service (classes) and receiving that service (via online class). The issue should be in the fees for things like the lazy river and other on campus utilities that aren't able to be accessed.

Both my kids (no pics) have in-person classes scheduled as of now.

This is going to surprise some of you, but many major colleges and universities (not the for-profit mills, but actual real universities) have had 100 percent online degrees for a few years now.
This idea that online education automatically isn't as good as in-class education, is completely stupid, and these comments are being made by people who haven't set foot in a college classroom in a few decades (if ever).
The olds used to say meeting people online was stupid as well, yet how many of the O-T meets ladies on Tinder?

With a school overrun with 6 figure salaries of "administrators", if they have to shut down the school instead of trimming the fat, it deserves to close.

I could see maybe requesting refunds on certain fees tied to things they don’t have access to, but that should be handled through formal request and a petition if necessary. Tuition is for instruction which they will access in “full” even if different. If it has to be settled by attorneys your tuition will probably go up $5-10 next semester lol.

Explain what your damages are? He gets an education for the price you agreed to pay. And this way he graduates and gets a job quicker. His education is not diluted compared to other universities because even Harvard is online.
If it was good enough for Joseph Lee Burrow it’s good enough for little Timmy for a semester.
